Vena Naskręcka was born in Czestochowa, Poland, in 2011 graduated with a BA in Fine Art from Minerva Art Academy, Hanze University Groningen, The Netherlands. Since then she has been a participant in performance art workshops and art events in Switzerland, Holland, Norway and Germany.
Vena is very much inspired by prostheses and orthoses, which, in a very specific way, redefine body-object relations in space and extend the connection of the human’s micro and macro realms. Within performance art, video and installation works, she uses consecutive processes of construction and deconstruction and in doing so generates the opportunity to discover less tangible and uncanny phenomenon inherent in these interactions.
